Mi TV Stick: A smarter way to turn your normal TV into Smart TV
By China based tech giant Xiaomi has launched Mi Tv Stick in India on August 5, 2020 which got revealed from the teaser poster all over social media platforms. This device was already launched in Europe earlier in the month of July at a price of EUR 39.99 (approximately Rs. 3550).

The Mi TV Stick is priced at Rs. 2,799 in India which is fairly lower that Amazon Fire TV Stick (i.e. Rs. 3,999) which is a perfect competition. Xiaomi’s own Mi Box 4K is priced at Rs. 3,499. It was first available for sale on August 7, 2020 on at 12 pm (noon) and the device is available on Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home Stores. Apart from this, the users can connect this TV stick to their TV via HDMI port and turn it into a smart TV. This device can be directly powered by either attaching its USB cable to adapter in an electric socket or directly to the USB port of TV.

The remote control includes dedicated keys for Netflix and Amazon’s Prime Video. The navigation buttons are placed in a circular format with a Google Assistant voice controls as well as Chromecast for supported devices. The device also gets Google data saver option for users working with limited data usage. It also allows users to stream more content, up to three times more, compared to regular or non-data saver mode.
